WW2 US M15 Grenade Launcher Sight Unissued Condition 1944 Date

Here is a nice, 1944 dated M15 grenade launcher sight. This sight was often attached to the M1 Garand, though the paperwork says it's also compatible with the M1903 Springfield rifles and their variations, as well as the M1 Carbine oddly enough. This set is in unissued condition, with the sight and attachment hardware still wrapped up in a thick, oiled wrapper to preserve this piece. The carrying case is dated to 1944, with the sight likely having a similar date. This sight is left in the wrapper, with the main body having its own wrapping, and the adjustment wheel having a second wrapping stuck to the first. With the case being in near-perfect condition, the wrapper being correct and present, and the paperwork present and looking in very good condition, this sight seems as though it was unissued and sold off as surplus after the war. Overall, a nice piece.
