WW2 German Panzer Breast Eagle Silver Flat Wire on Black Wool
Here is a nice WW2 German Panzer Breast Eagle, worn on the "Panzer Wrap" uniforms in black wool. This particular eagle is a silver flat wire on black wool backing, looking to have been a possible custom order. The eagle itself has resemblance to the early "Hammerhead" types, and is facing to the left as opposed to more common right facing. Condition is pretty good overall, with some tarnishing of the thread, and what looks to be a speck of green paint on the swastika. The backing is uneven behind the eagle, with one wing being far closer to the edge than the other. it measures approximately 4 inches from tip to tip.
