WW2 German DAF Labor Front Porcelain Gravy Boat by R. C. Rosenthal

This is a nice example of a WW2 German DAF (Deutsche Arbeitsfront, DAF) porcelain gravy boat. German porcelain like this was built just as tough as Tiger tanks to hold up to hungry German soldiers who had a chance to eat at a proper mess hall, or while on garrison. This gravy boat is made from thick porcelain with a build in saucer, and a dual ended pour spout. The bottom shows the marking for the DAF, as well as the maker's mark of R. C. Rosenthal. This porcelain has a thick glaze over it, including over a small manufacturing defect which looks to be a small crack which has been glazed over, and doesn't look to be damage from use. This boat measures about 7 inches in diameter, and about 3 3/4 inches in height. Overall, a nice piece.
