Vintage Chen Mao Signed Oil and Horsehair Painting "Misty Valley" 29 1/2 x 40"

This is a very nice, vintage painting done by Chen Mao, a famous Chinese artist known for painting with oil, and using horsehair in his works. This painting shows a misty valley, with a small area which looks to be the edge of a fishing village. There's a good bit of detail in this piece, with small strokes, larger lines, and wonderful blending of colors. Horse hair is added for texture and 3D areas within his varying pieces to make things more interesting. This work is framed, with the canvas wrapped around the back of the frame, looking to be primarily in the length, with bits of paint even present where he had originally painted the material. The framing work is excellent, with a tight lock up and varying wedges to keep the canvas tight. The painting itself, measured from within the confines of the frame, measures approximately 29 1/2 x 40 inches, with the frame measuring to a total of 31 1/4 x 42 inches. The lower right hand corner is signed with both a stamp, and his name in black paint.
