Unusual Vintage Fur Bearing Trout Postcard

This is a very unusual postcard, showing a trout printed onto the stock, with a real fur platelet that has been affixed over most of the trout print. The text on this postcard is quite comical as well, reading: "Fur Bearing Trout. A cross between a WHO DUNNIT and a HOW COMEIT." A very fitting description. A little poem is also present, reading: "TACKLE to be used for Catching- FUR BEARING TROUT. Use a SUCK and BLOW Fish Call to lure 'em to Surface. Bate WHIPPENPOOFLE hook with fresh HORSE BEANS. Use only a PEE ELM POLE with HYPERFONATED line on a TURN and SOCK 'EM Real. WARNING- if allergic to Fur, Skin before Eatin'" This odd postcard shows mild toning, with a small water spot. It measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
