The Thornville Banking Co. Ohio Extremely Rare Antique Glass Bank Pre-1922 A wonderful piece of Ohio banking history, most likely the only survivor from this bank, a heavy thick glass bank from The Thornville Banking Co. Ohio which was absorbed by Peoples Bank in 1922. That would date this bank to pre-1922, The bank has a gold plating that has does have wear from age and use but the complete name is visible. It measures 4 1/8" height x 3" in diameter, it weighs 14.3 ounces. Has a few tiny chips around coin slot from use otherwise no other damage that we noticed. The bottom plug is a glass Sweet-Forschler New Orleans plug and appears to be original. A perfect piece for the serious collector or banking executive.
