"Resting Carriage" Cira 1900 Japanese Fan Design Silk Screen
This is a very nice, circa 1900 Japanese fan design. This design shows a carriage at rest. There is a good bit of fine detail in this design, reflected in tatami mats over the windows and entrance of the courage, with the foot stool of which the arms of the carriage are resting upon. This piece is signed with a stamp, with a label on it as well, neither of which we can find matches for or a clean translation. The overall size is 22 3/4 x 13 3/4 inches, with the main fan design measuring about 20 inches wide from the widest point, and about 9 inches tall from the widest points. Overall, this a very nice piece which is expertly done.
