c.1900 Original Enlarged Photo On Board Crossing Of 3 Trunk Lines Richmond VA This is from the first image of this crossing taken c.1900-1905 when the 3rd line was complete, The original glass plate negative which probably does not exist anymore was used at this time to enlarge the image and then placed on a thick board similar to cabinet cards of the period. We doubt many if any of this size still exist. A very nice example of a original very rare framed enlarged cabinet card type photograph on board, taken of the Crossing of the Three Trunk Lines, located near Richmond, Virginia, c. 1900-1905. This photograph shows 3 steam locomotive engines in varying stages and positions of the crossing, as well as the contents of their cars. There is a paper tag on the inside of the frame which gives the details of this photograph. The frame is period and was intact until we removed the nails to see what type of photograph was inside. The glass is intact without chips, cracks, or other damage present. The image looks to be in very good condition, with no visible damage present. The frame measures approximately 25 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches, with the image measuring approximately 19 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches. Overall, a very nice, historical piece.
