Antique Chinese Hand Stitched Silk Panel In Frame
This is a very nice, antique hand stitched Chinese silk panel, framed. The panel depicts what looks to be a four-legged creature of Chinese mythology, with shades of blue silk and silver thread making up the image. This panel is within a decorative border, and framed in glass for ease of display. Condition looks to be very good, with the smallest amount of light toning present on the smooth silk used as negative space in this piece. The panel itself measures roughly 11 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches. With frame it measures 19 1/2 x 20 1/4 inches. There doesn't appear to be direct provisions for mounting or hanging, though the holes for a wire hanger, or the screws for a plate style of hanger are present.
