WW2 "Safe Conduct" German Soldier Surrender Leaflets
Here is a very interesting set of two Safe Conduct surrender leaflets for German soldiers in WW2, issued out by the United States and United Kingdom in efforts to have German soldiers surrender their arms and come forth into custody. These leaflets claim to be for the German Soldier who genuinely wishes to give himself up, offering medical care, food, and extraction from the combat zone. These leaflets are green on one side with a message in English, and German. The backside is all in German, stating a few lines from the Geneva Convention to support their claims of safe surrender. These paper items do show some wear, with some creases, tears, folds, and other wear from age. These pieces measure approximately 8.5 x 5 inches.
