We are not sure of the exact period although this is a early gold ring, size about 7, weighs 3.2 grams. The band still retains shine and life, and is in amazing condition for the age of this wonderful piece. The carnelian stone features the face of a Roman Legionary, wearing what appears to be a plumed helmet, potentially a Centurian? The stone is about 12mm x 14mm x 2.5-3mm thick.
